Song Playing Right Now:
Eric Clapton - Hello Old Friend
Five songs I listen to a lot, or mean a lot to me:
Pink Floyd - 'Time'
a personal favourite, my all time favourite song. It has real meaning, I connect with the lyrics, the guitar solo from Dave has real soul it just makes me feel I'm not alone in the way I feel sometimes.
Neil Young - 'Old Man'
a beautiful, delicate song from 'Harvest'. Makes me think of how much I have in common with my Dad
Jimi Hendrix - 'All Along the Watchtower'
Amazing cover, Jimi took Dylan's original and turned it into perhaps the greatest cover in music history. He gave it life! The build up, the imagery, all leading up to the end guitar solo makes for an amazing listening experience. It takes you away to a fairytale-like world, and there's no wonder it's one of his most famous tracks.
Led Zeppelin - 'Black Dog'
The old-fashioned rocker, the song you stick on when it's party time. After all, it wouldn't be a proper party without a bit of Led Zepp. Turn it up and let your ear drums bleed, Black Dog really gets you in the mood.
Eric Clapton - 'Layla' (Unplugged)
In some ways, better than the electric version. It's a chill out track. You can hear the emotion come through from Eric during this acoustic set, it's one of the best things he's done. I love the solo, it's perfect!
